NEW SYNTHETIC PITCH FOR CHILES’S PRIMERA DIVISIÓN
The Estadio Bicentenario is located in La Florida, a district of Santiago de Chile, the capital city of the Andean country in South America. This is where the Audax Italiano team plays its home matches in the Primera División, Chile’s top-flight football league. Completely rebuilt in 2008, the stadium has a synthetic surface that meets all the standards specified by FIFA – which means international matches can also be played here. The final of the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile was played in the Estadio Bicentenario. It was won 2-1 by the USA – against North Korea, interestingly enough.
Early in 2018 Polytan laid a new synthetic pitch on a 25 mm-thick elastic layer in the Estadio Bicentenario de La Florida: a LigaTurf RS+ CoolPlus WCE with FIFA Quality Pro certification.
