The gold slipped away by the narrowest of margins as the German men’s hockey team was edged out by the Netherlands in the Paris final. Nevertheless, the Honamas have left a lasting impression on us with their consistently inspiring performances, and we congratulate the silver medallists and reigning World Cup champions on this incredible achievement. The action all unfolded on our Poligras Paris GT zero, the world’s first carbon-neutral synthetic turf for field hockey, which we developed specially for the Olympic Games in Paris.
In celebrating this great success, we also commend the gritty performance of the German women’s hockey team, who managed to make it as far as the quarter finals. They, too, played all their matches on our striking blue turf, which was undoubtedly the visual highlight at the historic Stade Yves-du-Manoir.
Our brand ambassador, Laura Raquel Müller, also had the chance to soak up the Olympic spirit in the long jump. Although her injury was evident and she missed out on the final, she still had the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insights at the sold-out Stade de France. This will certainly stand her in great stead at the next games in four years, and we wish her all the best on the road to Los Angeles 2028.
