THE RUNNING TRACK FOR SETTING RECORDS
The first Tartan running track in Europe was installed in Letzigrund, Zürich, in 1968. It premièred at the Olympic Games in Mexico City that same year, and Germany‘s first Tartan running track was put in place in Stuttgart in 1969. This new surface set world records on the production line. Polytan has been constantly refining its synthetic surfaces for more than 40 years, and its new Polytan Tartan GOLD is a high-performance surface for top-class international sport. The structure combining a solid PU surface and shock-absorbing levelling layer ensures excellent durability for this synthetic waterproof surface with good force-absorption properties. The EPDM granules dispersed in the top layer make Tartan GOLD the ideal choice for running shoes with spikes and offers extremely high acceleration performance. Energy-enhancing tread elasticity and high abrasion resistance complete the properties of this elite surface, making it perfect for setting new records!
