In the summer of 2016, Polytan installed the Poligras Mega CoolPlus unfilled synthetic turf system with a 35 mm elastic layer on the site of the renowned Dutch A.M.H.C. Rood-Wit Hockey Club in Aerdenhout. The pitch was laid in classic green and the club opted for a border consisting of textured filaments in olive green. The current trend for two-tone hockey venues was thus reflected in two attractive shades of green.
Founded in 1899, A.M.H.C. Rood-Wit was the first hockey club in the Neth-erlands exclusively for women. Today the club has 1,500 members, women and men alike. The women’s first team plays in the second-highest Dutch league, the “overgangsklasse”, whilst the men’s first team has been compet-ing for the title in the third-highest Dutch league, the “eerste klasse”, since the 2016/2017 season.
