Mühlenberg stadium gets new running track
The athletics track in the Mühlenberg stadium in Wipperfürth has recently been renovated, with the worn sprint section in particular having been in urgent need of renewal. It was replaced with a Rekortan PUR synthetic surface. The rest of the running track was less worn, so re-topping – where only the surface is renewed – was sufficient. This sustainable solution allows old surfaces to be technically and visually upgraded without the need for expensive removal and disposal. The old surface is simply retained as a substrate. Not only is this easier on budgets, it is also better for the environment because practically no waste is produced. The Rekortan M-RT was chosen as the surface.
