LigaTurf Legend Pro at the Palasport Centro Sportivo Francesco Camusso, Cumiana, Italy
Powerhouse for high resilience
The small commune of Cumiana belongs to the Italian city of Turin, in the middle of the Piedmont region. Its sports centre is named after the Cumiana-born road racing cyclist Camusso, who won the Giro d’Italia in 1931 and also achieved success in the Tour de France. The sports centre in Cumiana includes a sports hall with a gym, as well as multiple tennis courts and football pitches.
We surfaced one of these pitches with our LigaTurf Legend Pro in 2022. This filled synthetic turf system is a real top product, impressing players and facility operators alike with its improved fibre resilience, thanks to its special multi-shape filament cross-section. By mimicking the look and feel of natural grass, the specially developed cross-section offers authentic ball-rolling and playing characteristics and is the perfect solution for professionals and discerning amateurs alike.
Evidence of its quality includes the certification of LigaTurf Legend Pro by various international standards – not to mention by FIFA itself. We have also repeatedly proven the high wear resistance of the filaments through rigorous laboratory tests. The durability of the surface ensures its sustainability. Visually, the wider filament width provides good coverage and – in combination with a BiColour design – lends a fresh, natural appearance to the playing surface.
Thanks to the specially adapted turf constructions and Polytan’s system structure, footballers in Cumiana feel comfortable and safe on the turf at all times. The playing field can also be divided into two mini-pitches. Yet even with such intensive use, the extraordinary resilience of the synthetic turf allows it to remain steadfast against wear and tear. For the operators of sports facilities, durability and resilience have become one of the deciding ecological and economic factors in the acquisition of synthetic turf.
