LigaTurf RS+ on the training pitch in Wisła Płock, Poland
Professional training
Płock is located in the region of Masovia, around 100 km north-west of Warsaw, on the Vistula river. Płock was once the capital of Masovia and remains one of the oldest cities in Poland. Economically, the city has made a name for itself as the centre of the Polish oil industry.
Płock has also distinguished itself in terms of sports: the Wisła Płock handball team has won the title of Polish champion many times, as well as the Polish Cup. The city is also home to Olympians, world and European champions in sports such as kickboxing and rowing. Football is an equally popular activity: Wisła Płock teams play their matches at the Orlen Stadium Kazimierz Górski – the renovation of which was completed last year.
Not far from the 15,000-spectator stadium, an old training pitch was fully revitalised: the specialists at Panorama Obiekty Sportowe renovated the synthetic turf pitch with our tried-and-tested classic LigaTurf RS+, a highly robust and durable system. Thanks to the synthetic turf fibres’ balanced thickness-to-width ratio, they return to an upright position after use. Athletes benefit from optimal shock absorption and ideal ball rolling and bouncing characteristics. This is made possible by our special Polytan Entanglement Technology with exceptionally thick, rhombus-shaped fibres. Thanks to FIFA Quality Pro certification, LigaTurf RS+ is not only suitable for stadiums and professional training facilities; amateur clubs will also benefit from the robust and low-maintenance synthetic turf, which can be used intensively all year round. The quality of the grass is confirmed by triple FIFA certification.
And because here at Polytan, we are working tirelessly to make our solutions and sport in general more sustainable and environmentally friendly, we have developed our popular synthetic football turf even further: the filaments of the new LigaTurf RS+ R now contain post-consumer recycled material – an important step towards a sustainable future.
