The stadium with its small “Sir Brian Lochore Stand” – named after a locally-born player and coach – is located in serene Masterton in the south of the North Island, and since April 2015 has provided not only the “Wairarapa Bush Rugby Union” rugby club with a new home ground, it has also served as a ground and training venue for the soccer players of “Wairarapa United”. Moreover, in the future, all the major rugby events in the Wairarapa region will be held in the Trust House Memorial Park stadium.
In order to meet the needs of both the football and rugby players, the stadium’s officials opted for the professional artificial turf system LigaTurf RS+ CoolPlus by Polytan. The colour of the border around the pitch is unusual if not unique: The bright red colour is custom-made and matches the colours of the Wairarapa region.
