The expansion of the club building and the training ground of TSG Hoffenheim went hand in hand with its meteoric rise from the district league to the German Bundesliga. Since 2009, synthetic turf made by Polytan has provided for optimal training conditions in the indoor sports hall next to Dietmar-Hopp Stadium, in the youth development and training centre, and in the Footbonaut facility. Users of the Footbonaut – a 14×14 metre synthetic pitch for intensive individual training – opted for the extremely hardwearing Polytan LigaGrass textured football pitch. Polytan LigaTurf R CoolPlus was installed in the sports hall to cater for different requirements: the raw material composition of the fibres protects against wear and tear, whilst ensuring stability. All the other Polytan synthetic turf systems installed in Hoffenheim were also precisely attuned to the respective requirements.
