Perfect solutions for an entire sports complex
Nidzica is located on the Nida River among the lakes, on the southern edge of the Masurian Lake District in the voivodeship of Warmia-Masuria. Among the sights of the town is a Teutonic castle from the 14th century with two distinctive square towers, after which the town was originally named: Neidenburg.
In the summer of 2022, an entire sports complex was built next to the vocational and comprehensive school in Nidzica. It was realised by Polytan’s partner, Panorama Obiekty Sportowe, a company that specialises in the planning and construction of sports facilities on the Polish market. In addition to a multipurpose field that is designed for handball and volleyball, the complex includes a football field with an adjacent sprinting track, a long jump pit, a tennis court, and a streetball court. All six facilities have been realised using surfaces from our portfolio.
For example, the football field is equipped with LigaGrass Pro, our textured synthetic turf, which we recommend as an optimal solution for municipal, school and club facilities. It impresses athletes and operators alike, as it is both multifunctional and highly robust, while keeping maintenance to a minimum. The filament has a triangular cross-section that guarantees optimal fibre stability and gives the turf greater volume and structure. The BiColour design of the crimped filaments creates an extremely natural appearance in lush green.
On all the other playing fields, the multifunctional and also fall protection surface PolyPlay S was used: our clean and safe solution for a wide variety of applications. The bulk-coated, water-permeable surface is extremely low-maintenance and protects athletes against injuries in the event of falls, thanks to its cushioning effect. Its optimal resistance to weathering and decay guarantees a long lifespan and low maintenance costs. The surface of PolyPlay S is available in many different colours and various thicknesses. In Nidzica, it is installed in brick red with a thickness of 20 mm.
The sprinting track and run-up track for the long jump are equipped with Rekortan M – also in brick red. As a high-speed synthetic surface, Rekortan is designed for peak athletic performance. This is not least made possible by the combination of an elastic base layer and a solid construction, which provides the perfect conditions for professional athletes and discerning amateurs alike.
