Playground: Children's safety first and foremost
Children’s safety is the top priority in playgrounds. To protect them from serious injuries, shock-absorbing protective surfaces positioned under play equipment (such as swings or climbing frames) are mandatory (as regulated in DIN EN 1177). A large selection of playground fall protection is available – from loose bulk material (such as sand and wood chips) to rubber soft-impact, fall protection panels, including seamlessly installed synthetic surface coverings. Synthetic fall-protection surface coverings are not only suitable for playgrounds and kindergartens, they are also used in recreational parks, care homes or rehabilitation facilities, due to their protective properties.
Colourful, hygienically clean and ensuring long-lasting safety
The thickness of the covering depends on its respective application and drop height. Fall-protection surface coverings must be particularly resistant to weathering and rotting in outdoor areas. Polytan fall-protection surface coverings never lose their optimum damping, even when wet. Due to their water permeability, the surfaces dry quickly after rainfall. Care and maintenance of artificial surface coverings is straightforward (eg, intensive cleaning is only necessary every two to three years). In addition to being RAL-certified, Polytan fall-protection floor coverings are HIC-tested, in accordance with DIN EN 1177 and ASTM F1292-09 (Sports Standards and Recreation Standards).

POLYPLAY FS GT
PolyPlay FS GT artificial surface covering is a seamless fall-protection system with a flat, non-slip surface finish, available in a variety of colours. The EPDM rubber granulate top layer is 15mm thick (the thickness of the elastic layer made from Recyclat and Cardyon® depends on the respective application).
POLYPLAY FSI GT
With PolyPlay FSI GT, we have set a new standard in fall protection. The combination of BASF Infinergy® and a specially developed binding agent with cardyon® technology guarantees outstanding fall protection properties, as well as reduced material consumption. The Infinergy® used in the base layer is elastic, like rubber, but lighter, and consists of foam cells made of thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU). This makes PolyPlay FSI GT the ideal ground surface for playgrounds, pre-schools and rehab centres.
PolySeal: Protective surface sealing for synthetic surface coverings
Synthetic surface coverings in sports facilities are exposed to numerous types of wear. For example, granulate can break out in some places and contaminate or bleach the surfaces. Protection can be provided with PolySeal surface finish sealing, an abrasion-resistant PU coating that can also be applied to textured, spike-suitable synthetic tracks.
