PolyPlay Arena with LigaGrass Pro

The municipality of Bodolz, located on the eastern shores of Lake Constance, thrives on tourism. Consequently, sports are a high priority, offering activities ranging from hiking and mountain biking to inline skating, tennis, and even traditional golf. Many locals are also members of the Turn- und Sportgemeinschaft Lindau-Zech e.V. or the Ballspielclub Bodolz 1973 e.V. (BC Bodolz).

Polytan has now contributed to expanding the range of sports offered: In September 2019, a mini sports field was installed in Bodolz. The idea behind such a PolyPlay Arena is high-quality sports fields for smaller spaces, fully equipped with our synthetic turf or synthetic surfaces, along with goals, boards, and ball catchment nets. This concept originated with the 2007 DFB campaign “1,000 Mini Pitches for Germany,” which was launched right after the FIFA World Cup in Germany.

Our LigaGrass Pro turf system was used, featuring sand infill and the newly developed Fusion GT, which combines the benefits of our advanced infill granules with those of a natural raw material. It represents the perfect fusion of nature and technology.

Our mini sports fields are available in various standard sizes as well as custom sizes and colors. In Bodolz, an XXL version measuring 40 x 20 m was implemented, along with a surrounding 3 m high safety net, which was increased to 6 m on one side to serve as a ball catchment net. The PolyPlay Arena in Bodolz is open to the public and accessible to everyone. The BC Bodolz also uses it for team and technique training.
